Animation : Baby Steps

My first attempt and animating my model, I used multiple tutorials in order to figure out how to export the animations in high definition with respectable frame-rates as well as manipulate the camera. In my next animations I hope to experiment with sections and other aspects of my building.

My first attempt (pretty shocking), Low resolution render and partial wall-clipping

Second attempt including a HD render, integration of terrain as well as an improved frame-rate.

Integration of Terrain/Sandbox

In this post I demonstrate the integration of terrain to my model using the Sandbox tool, this aims to highlight the strengths of the building in which the clients main discussion and creation areas all contain easy-open access to the vast views of the areas surrounding the studio. In my next posts I intend to focus on interior modelling and hope to move onto animation.

The Progression

In this post I have made dramatic changes to my model idea, extracting key concepts from the original design and projecting these onto new model ideas that are far more intriguing and practical. On the upper levels I have utilised the cantilevered glass and elevated platforms from the original design, and the lower level incorporates the underground design studio for Shinya, illuminated through sky-lights.

The green courtyard central to the building indicates an initial meeting area between the client and creator, I have designed this in such a way that the creators desending/ascending from their respective stairs can be seen through the entrance foyer of the building as I deemed this to be a central aspect of the design.
