In this post I showcase my first attempts at creating approximate scale re-creations of Jiro Ono's famous sushi and Shinya Kimura's custom motorcycles using the Sketch-up software.

36 Textures
This post includes 36 Hand-Drawn textures that have been included into my evolving sketchup model of the Shinya Kimura - Jiro Ono studio space. In this step of our projects creation we were tasked with conceptualizing words that eminate and reflect upon various textures found in the upper, middle and lower levels of our space and drawing them.

Stairs
This blog post showcases my conceptual progression of the integration of stairs into my studio design. I decided that a staircase with an increasing gradient would help create a perception of Shinya Kimura, ascending from his creation studio like a god, whilst Jiro Uno, descending from his oriental bamboo stairs highlighted the integrally cultural aspect of his life that his sushi is so delicately and coherently intertwined with. The use of entry stairs I believe helps to highlight the importance of this studio space and intrigue and challenge the clients to think about the space they are entering.

18 Sketches
This post includes an array of sketches that I completed showcasing my concept for Jiro Ono and Shinya Kimuras studio spaces inspired by verbs, nouns and adjectives describing their own creations. As well as these sketches I have included some initial Sketch-models of the space during its conceptualisation.
